Goldfinger, the third James Bond film, is often seen as the quintessential Bond movie--the one where all the elements came together to form the James Bond formula. But in print, Goldfinger was Fleming's seventh novel, the British agent is investigating smuggler and game cheat Auric Goldfinger.
